GAZA, Aug. 02 (YPA) – At least nine Palestinians, including two children and a woman, were killed and several others injured on Sunday in Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple areas across the Gaza Strip.
Medical sources said three Palestinians, including a child, were killed and several others wounded when an Israeli missile struck a residential apartment in the al-Sousi Tower in the Port area, west of Gaza City.
In the central Gaza Strip, two more Palestinians, including a woman, were killed and several others injured after an Israeli airstrike targeted a residential apartment in the al-Masha’la area, south of Deir al-Balah.
In a separate strike, three Palestinians, including a child, were killed after Israeli warplanes bombed an apartment belonging to the al-Hams family in the al-Mawasi area of al-Qarara, northwest of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip
Elsewhere, Mohammed Abd Abu Ras was killed in an Israeli drone strike on Deir al-Latin Street in the Old City, east of Gaza City. Several other Palestinians were injured in the attack.
The latest attacks raised Sunday’s death toll across the Gaza Strip to seven Palestinians, including two children and a woman, with several others reported injured.
Yesterday, medical sources announced that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip had risen to 73,349 Palestinians killed and 174,162 injured since October 7, 2023.
The sources added that since the ceasefire agreement took effect on October 11 last year, the death toll has reached 1,222, with 4,053 injuries, while 804 bodies have been recovered. They noted that many victims remain trapped under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them.
