Four Palestinians killed, others injured in Israeli occupation shelling on Gaza

GAZA, Aug. 01 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces continued on Saturday their violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip for the 296th consecutive day, as four Palestinians were killed and several others injured in shelling and airstrikes targeting several areas across Gaza City, Khan Younis, Deir al-Balah, and Rafah.

According to local sources, Hassan Ibrahim Qahman and Alaa Imad al-Taramasi were killed in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, while Mahmoud Mohammad Fatayer succumbed to his injuries in Deir al-Balah.

Additionally, an Israeli drone strike on an electric bicycle in the Al-Sabra neighborhood critically injured a Palestinian citizen, alongside other casualties caused by artillery shelling and gunfire along the Rafah coast, the Al-Bureij camp, and the eastern districts of Gaza City. Four “quadcopter” drones also exploded east of Gaza City.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the death toll since the ceasefire agreement took effect on October 11 has risen to 1,214, with 3,977 wounded, in addition to 804 bodies recovered. This brings the overall toll of the Israeli military offensive since October 7, 2023, to 73,341 killed and 174,086 injured.
