LONDON, Aug. 01 (YPA) – British Prime Minister Andy Burnham considered the scale of the humanitarian disaster in Palestine unacceptable and unjustifiable.
In a press statement on Saturday, Burnham said that the government is considering taking measures regarding Israeli settlements in the West Bank, and these will be announced in due course.
He described what is happening in the Gaza Strip as “a scar on the collective conscience,” and stressed the need to stop the targeting of Palestinian civilians.
In addition, Burnham called for increased pressure, additional sanctions, and restrictions on arms exports to Israel.
