Sanaa warns UAE against becoming involved again in war, urges Qatar to stay out

SANAA, July 23 (YPA) -The Yemeni authorities in Sanaa have warned the United Arab Emirates (UAE)  against becoming involved again in the war in Yemen, while urging Qatar to stay out of the conflict.

Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a member of the Political Bureau of Ansarullah, accused that Saudi Arabia of seeking to drag Gulf states into the war against Yemen, warning Riyadh of the consequences of such efforts.

In a video message, al-Bukhaiti said that rifts between Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar are deeply rooted and that rebuilding trust and restoring relations to their previous level would be difficult due to historical factors, as well as Mohammed bin Salman’s actions toward even his closest allies.

Speaking sarcastically, al-Bukhaiti claimed that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had previously gone as far as attempting to overthrow the Emir of Qatar, occupy Qatar, and annex it to Saudi Arabia.

He added, ” If Mohammed bin Zayed had not chosen to overlook the insult, the situation would have escalated into a direct military confrontation between Saudi Arabia and the UAE, referring to the setbacks suffered by the UAE’s allies in southern and eastern Yemen, represented by the Southern Transitional Council (STC).

Al-Bukhaiti also warned the UAE against rejoining the war against Yemen, noting that the United States is pressuring both the UAE and Qatar to take part in military operations alongside Saudi Arabia.

He further revealed that Saudi Arabia and its local allies are undertaking new moves inside Yemen, without providing further details.
