TEHRAN, July 15 (YPA) – The Iranian news agency Fars, citing the latest satellite imagery, reported that Iranian strikes carried out over recent nights against U.S. military bases in several regional countries destroyed a logistics support hangar, a drone hangar, and a command-and-control center for unmanned aerial systems.
According to the report, the main results of the strikes were as follows:
First: The destruction of a U.S. military logistics support hangar at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, which is the most important U.S. command-and-control center in the region and the forward headquarters of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM). It said the strike was intended to demonstrate Iran’s ability to threaten the United States’ principal command hub in the Gulf.
Second: The destruction of a military drone hangar at Juffair Naval Base in Bahrain. The report stated that the attack went beyond targeting the naval base itself, striking a facility used to store U.S. unmanned surface vessels, which is a key component of the U.S. Navy’s unmanned maritime operations network in the Gulf, supporting reconnaissance, mine countermeasures, maritime surveillance, and the protection of shipping lanes.
Third: The destruction of a U.S. military drone command-and-control center at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.
The report said the strike targeted the center’s radar system, indicating a focus on the command, control, communications, computing, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) network rather than solely on runways or aircraft shelters.
It added that destroying or damaging the radar would reduce early-warning and target-detection capabilities, while disabling the drone control center would directly affect the coordination of reconnaissance and strike missions conducted by unmanned aircraft, including MQ-9 drones.
The report concluded that targeting the drone command center represented one of Iran’s most militarily effective attacks in the current round of conflict because it directly focused on command-and-intelligence infrastructure rather than only on air assets.
