Iran: Advanced weapons, drones developed during 40-day war

TEHRAN, June 28 (YPA) – Iran’s army spokesperson Mohammad Akrami Nia said on Sunday that more advanced equipment was developed during the 40-day war.

In a statement, Akrami Nia added that Iran recently used new drones whose research and development had begun earlier, and that they were successfully deployed during the war.

He also said that improved, higher-quality missiles were used by the armed forces, according to Iranian sources.

Earlier, the spokesperson of the General Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, said that Iran is now significantly stronger than in the early days of the war imposed on it, in terms of military capability and defensive strength.

“The enemy claimed that Iran suffered losses, but we inflicted much greater and broader losses on the Americans,” Shekarchi added. “Iran continued to develop its capabilities even during wartime, which he said has been demonstrated in practice.”
