Araghchi, Omani FM hold talks on maritime traffic in Strait of Hormuz

TEHRAN, June 25 (YPA) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Omani counterpart, Badr Al-Busaidi, held a phone call on Thursday to discuss recent regional developments and areas of mutual interest.

In a post on his Telegram channel, Araghchi said the two sides reviewed developments related to maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as temporary arrangements planned for the next 60 days.

Both ministers underscored the importance of continued coordination, bilateral consultations, and technical and expert-level cooperation on the issue.

They also expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of a recent visit by an Iranian delegation to Muscat and the discussions held there.

The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining diplomatic engagement and continuing consultations on shared concerns, while further strengthening cooperation between Tehran and Muscat.
