Palestinians injured in Zionist settlers’ attack in Nablus
QUDS, June 24 (YPA) – Several Palestinian residents were injured on Wednesday morning after being attacked by Israeli settlers in the town of Burin, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
Palestinian sources, citing local sources, reported that a group of settlers from the settlement of Yitzhar attacked Ayman Attallah Soufan and his sons as they were leaving their home.
The settlers sprayed them with pepper spray, requiring their transfer to Ibn Sina Medical Center in the town of Huwwara for treatment.
The sources added that Israeli forces entered the area to provide protection for the attacking settlers.
Earlier, settlers attacked the home of Hisham Zaben in the al-Sahl area of the town late at night, damaging two vehicles parked outside the house.
The Soufan family home in Burin has been subjected to repeated attacks and assaults by settlers despite its distance from the bypass road leading to the Yitzhar settlement, in an attempt to force the family to leave their home.
This attack comes amid an escalation in settler violence in the West Bank.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission documented 1,637 attacks carried out by Israeli forces and settlers during last April, including 540 attacks attributed to settlers.
