Pezeshkian publishes Iran–US memorandum, calls it historic peace agreement

TEHRAN, June 18 (YPA) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian published the text of a memorandum of understanding signed with the United States in both English and Persian on Thursday.

According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, Pezeshkian described the step as a historic document reflecting Iran’s position that peace must be based on mutual respect.

Pezeshkian shared the agreement on the social media platform X, saying it represents a message from a strong Iran and the voice of a nation that has not compromised its dignity in the face of pressure and threats.

He added that the Islamic Republic remains committed to global peace while safeguarding its independence, development, and regional cooperation.

The Iranian president also posted an image of the signed memorandum, which reportedly includes the signatures of the Iranian and U.S. presidents, as well as Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who is said to have mediated the agreement.
