OTTAWA, June 18 (YPA) – Police in the Canadian province of Quebec have opened an investigation into an act of vandalism targeting a mosque, which has sparked widespread condemnation.
Mosque official Mohamed Topal said that worshippers were surprised when they arrived for dawn prayers to find stones scattered and broken glass inside the building, while surveillance cameras showed a masked person throwing hard objects at the mosque at 1:45 AM.
