Israeli occupation cuts off contact with European official who described them as “apartheid”

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, June 18 (YPA) – Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar announced on Thursday that he has severed all contact with EU foreign policy chief Kaja Callas, following her comparison of Israel’s policies toward the Palestinians to the apartheid regime that once existed in South Africa.

Sa’ar said in a post on the X platform that he has stopped communicating with Callas until she retracts what he called the “blood libel” against Israel, accusing her of “dealing with Israel in a clear and unfair manner.”

During closed-door meetings in Mexico City in late May, Callas compared Israel’s treatment of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank to the apartheid policies formerly implemented in South Africa.
