BEIRUT, June 11 (YPA) – A number of people were martyred and injured on Thursday following a series of airstrikes and drone attacks that Israeli occupation forces carried out on multiple towns and areas in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the occupation’s aircraft conducted two airstrikes on the outskirts of Nahla in the Baalbek district, resulting in the death of a civilian.
Meanwhe, Lebanese resistance forces said they shot down a “Heron-1” reconnaissance drone of the Israeli occupation in Baalbek district.
In the Tyre district, the Israeli occupation waged additional air strikes killed four people in Abbasiya and two others in Deir Qanun al-Nahr. The city of Tyre and its surroundings, including areas near Hiram Hospital, were also targeted, alongside further air raids on nearby towns.
Drone strikes also hit moving targets, including incidents on public roads that resulted in the killing of a motorcyclist in Haboush and another strike along the Wadi Jello–Joya road.
In the Western Bekaa, one person was killed in Sahmar, while another Syrian national was injured in Mashgara following strikes reported in two waves.
Since March 2, the occupation forces have escalated attacks across Lebanon, targeting towns, villages, and civilian infrastructure, resulting in widespread casualties and displacement. Despite a ceasefire that entered into force in mid-April, Israeli violations continue on a near-daily basis.
