Iran denies reports of new negotiations with United States

TEHRAN, June 11 (YPA) – Iran’s negotiating team denied on Thursday reports claiming that new talks between Iran and the United States were taking place amid the latest regional escalation.

Iran’s Fars News Agency reported that a source close to negotiating team, Iran has maintained its negotiating positions and key demands, insisting that the framework previously proposed by Tehran remains the basis of its approach to any future discussions.

The source said Iranian officials believe the United States will ultimately have to engage with the core elements of Iran’s proposal, arguing that recent American pressure reflects disagreements over issues that Tehran considers outside the scope of previous understandings.

The source also maintained that Iran has not altered its stance despite growing pressure and that the proposal put forward by Tehran has not yet received full U.S. approval.

Separately, the Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned recent U.S. military actions against Iran, holding Washington responsible for escalating tensions and arguing that the attacks had undermined ceasefire efforts.

Iranian military officials also stated that drone strikes were carried out against targets linked to the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, describing the operation as a response to recent U.S. aggression and ceasefire violations.
