Israeli occupation escalates its aggression in West Bank through arrests, abuse, raids

WEST BANK, June 02 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces escalated their daily incursions and raids across various areas of the occupied West Bank at dawn, Tuesday, launching a sweeping wave of arrests and assaults against citizens.

In Tulkarm, the occupation forces launched a campaign of raids and arrests targeting primarily liberated prisoners in the suburbs of Irtah and Shuweika. They also arrested two young men, Yousef Shalabi and Nihad Salim, following raids on their homes in the town of Attil, and stormed the town of Anabta.

In Ramallah, the occupation forces stormed the town of Birzeit and the village of Al-Mughayyir, where they raided citizens’ homes, ransacked their belongings, and assaulted them. They severely beat citizen Mustafa Abu Radi and several members of his family during the raid on their home, causing bruises.

In Nablus, the forces stormed the city via the Al-Murabba’a checkpoint, as well as the town of Aqraba, the village of Sarra, and the town of Beita, where they confiscated a Palestinian vehicle in the Jabal Bir Quza area.

In Hebron, the occupation forces stormed the Al-Arroub camp and the town of Beit Ummar, conducting extensive raid operations on citizens’ homes.

In Bethlehem and Jenin, the forces raided a home in the village of Beit Ta’mar, east of Bethlehem, while a foot patrol of the occupation army stormed the Jabal Abu Zahair area in Jenin city.
