UAE closes Iranian hospital in Dubai, expels patients

DUBAI, June 01 (YPA) – Iranian media reported on Sunday that Emirati authorities forcibly closed the Iranian Red Crescent Hospital in Dubai, expelled patients from the premises, and froze its assets, while its director is subjected to daily interrogations.

The head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, Pir Hossein Kolivand, said that an Emirati court had issued an order to freeze the hospital’s cash accounts and financial dues, in addition to evicting medical staff from their designated residences, stressing that the Red Crescent would follow up on the matter in international forums and would file official complaints until a result is achieved.

It is worth noting that the closures also affected other Iranian entities in Dubai, including the Iranian Club and five Iranian schools in the UAE.
