Pakistani personnel deployed at Saudi military sites in Hadramout, Shabwa

HADRAMOUT, June 01 (YPA) – Sources in eastern Yemen have clarified unusual foreign military activity, including the arrival of Pakistani military personnel at positions used by Saudi forces in the provinces of Hadramout and Shabwa.

According to sources cited from within the command of the First Military Region in Seiyun, the provincial capital of Hadramout, Pakistani officers and soldiers have been observed alongside Saudi troops at military facilities near the district’s headquarters, as well as at the strategic Jathma camp.

Separate field sources also reported the arrival of additional Pakistani personnel at Ataq Airport in Shabwa aboard two helicopters, one reportedly carrying troops and the other described as a military aircraft.

The reports claim that the deployment is linked to a Saudi initiative aimed at filling positions previously controlled by Emirati-backed forces that have withdrawn from certain areas. These claims have not been independently verified.
