Dangerous escalation threatens  major war between Russia, Europe

MOSCOW,  May 28 (YPA) – Dmitry Polyanskiy, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the OSCE, warned that Europe is moving at a rapid pace toward a direct war with Russia.

He accused EU countries of undermining peace initiatives, militarizing borders, and turning their territories into rear bases and launch platforms to support Ukrainian forces.

Speaking at the OSCE Permanent Council meeting, Polyanskiy emphasized that Moscow has indications that combat drones targeting Russian territory could be launched in the future from NATO member states, according to Sputnik news agency.

The Russian envoy stressed that any such action would trigger a “harsh and merciless” response, holding European capitals fully responsible for pushing the region into an uncontainable diplomatic and military confrontation.
