IRGC navy: 32 ships authorized to transit Strait of Hormuz within 24 hours
TEHRAN, May 25 (YPA) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Crop (IRGC)’s naval forces declared on Monday that they had authorized the transit of 32 vessels through the Strait of Hormuz as part of ongoing maritime oversight operations in the strategic waterway.
According to a statement carried by Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, the Navy said the permits covered both inbound and outbound ship movements through the strait over the past 24 hours.
The statement noted that some vessels had already completed their passage, while others were expected to cross in the coming hours.
It added that the designated “safe passage corridor” is located south of the Strait of Hormuz, extending between Qeshm and Larak Islands at the entrance and through the southern waters near Hengam Island along the outbound route.
