Six Palestinians killed in 24 hours, bringing death toll since ceasefire announcement in Gaza to 900

GAZA, May 25 (YPA) – At least six Palestinians were killed and eight others injured in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza announced on Monday.

According to the ministry’s daily report, the recent fatalities include five individuals killed in fresh strikes and one who succumbed to previously sustained wounds.

The ministry added that emergency response teams and civil defense crews remain unable to reach several other victims who are still trapped under the rubble or stranded on roads across the enclave due to ongoing security challenges.

Since the declaration of a ceasefire on October 11, the ministry reported that the death toll has reached 904, with 2,713 others injured, while 777 bodies have been recovered from under the debris during this period.

This brings the total cumulative toll since the outbreak of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023, to 72,797 fatalities and 172,821 wounded, according to Gaza health ministry.

The Israeli occupation continues its military operations and systematic attacks in the Gaza Strip despite the active ceasefire agreement.
