OCCUPIED QUDS, May 25 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces stormed the Al-Bustan neighborhood in the town of Silwan, south of occupied Jerusalem (Quds) on Monday, executing demolition and bulldozing operations.
These actions included the demolition of a two-story house belonging to citizen Fayez Awad, a shack belonging to the Ruwaidi family, and the bulldozing of walls and lands owned by local citizens.
These measures come within the framework of the ongoing policy of forced displacement and Judaization targeting the neighborhood for years.
Through demolition and bulldozing, the occupation authorities seek to displace the residents and seize their lands to establish the so-called “King David’s Gardens” and bus stations, according to biblical claims, threatening dozens of citizens with the risk of uprooting to alter the Palestinian character of the area surrounding Al-Aqsa Mosque.
