Zionist forces escalate violations of Gaza ceasefire

GAZA, May 25 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army continues to violate the ceasefire agreement on its 228th day across various areas of the Gaza Strip, carrying out demolitions and artillery shelling in eastern Gaza.

Palestinian sources reported that Israeli artillery targeted eastern districts of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. The shelling reportedly struck areas between the towns of Bani Suheila and Al-Qarara, east of the city.

Israeli military vehicles stationed behind the so-called “yellow line” also opened heavy fire toward areas near the separation line. No casualties were immediately reported.

Meanwhile, local media sources said Israeli drones were seen flying at low altitudes over several parts of the Gaza Strip.

According to statistics released by Gaza’s Ministry of Health, since the ceasefire (October 11), the total number of those killed has reached890, in addition to 2,677 injuries, and 777 bodies recovered.

Since the beginning of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023, the total number of those killed has reached 72,783, with 172,779 wounded.
