Pakistan’s army chief meets with Iran’s foreign minister in Tehran

TEHRAN, May 23 (YPA) – Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir held talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi in Tehran on Friday, Iranian state media reported on Saturday.

This comes a time when Islamabad is intensifying its diplomatic efforts to help mediate between Iran and the United States.

The report said the two sides exchanged views on the latest diplomatic initiatives aimed at preventing further escalation and ending the war with Iran, during talks that continued late into the night.
