QAIRO, May 19 (YPA) – Egyptian travel content creator Mohamed Taher, known as “Taher Musafer,” said he was prevented by Saudi authorities from traveling to perform Hajj despite holding a special visa.
In a video published on Monday from Cairo Airport, Taher stated that his passport record indicated the need for coordination with Saudi authorities, and that he was later informed he would not be allowed to board his flight after contact with the relevant side.
He explained that he was part of a group of pilgrims who were allowed to travel, while he was singled out and prevented from boarding, expressing disappointment over being barred from completing the pilgrimage.
Taher called on Saudi authorities to clarify the reasons behind the decision, stressing that he has no prior issues with the Kingdom.
