Israeli occupation seizes control of “Global Sumud Flotilla”

OCCUPIED QUDS, May 18 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation forces launched this morning, Monday, a treacherous naval attack and blatant piracy targeting the ships of the “Global Sumud Flotilla” heading to break the unjust siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, amid widespread and explicit human rights and international condemnations.

The leadership of the “Global Flotilla” reported in urgent statements that its ships were subjected to a direct and barbaric attack by Israeli enemy vessels and forces in international waters. They confirmed that the flotilla’s ship, the “Monkey,” was specifically targeted by the occupation forces, resulting in a complete loss of contact with the ship and the activists and solidarity activists on board.

In the same context, Israeli media outlets acknowledged the crime. Channel 12 confirmed that the elite naval commando unit (Shayetet 13) had begun an operation to storm and seize control of the flotilla’s ships by force in international waters.

It is worth noting that this Israeli aggression comes in the context of the entity’s ongoing attempts to tighten the noose and intensify the land and sea blockade on the people of the Gaza Strip, under full American and international complicity and cover to thwart any humanitarian initiatives to save the residents of the Strip in general.
