Zionist settlers attack Sa’ir, Beit Ummar north of Hebron

WEST BANK, May 17 (YPA) – Extremist Zionist settlers set fire to a vehicle and an agricultural tractor in the Safa area of ​​Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron city, in the southern occupied West Bank, early Sunday morning.

Palestinian sources reported that settlers set fire to a vehicle and an agricultural tractor in the village of Safa, near Beit Ummar, at dawn today.

Settlers attacked the “Al-Daraja” area near the town of Sa’ir, north of Hebron, at dawn today, assaulting residents and their homes.

According to a report issued by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, 1,637 attacks were documented by the Israeli occupation forces and settlers in the West Bank during April 2026, including 540 attacks committed by settlers.

The report explained that Nablus Governorate recorded the highest number of settler attacks with 174 attacks, followed by Hebron Governorate with 139 attacks, and then Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate with 109 attacks.
