LAHJ, May 17 (YPA) – A brutal and cowardly assault against female soldier “Maha Ahmed Ghalib,” nicknamed “Hogan,” inside the prosecution building of Al-Houta city in Lahj Governorate, has sparked a widespread wave of anger and outrage, shaking public opinion.
Rights sources reported that an individual named “Fahmi Al-Rassas,” who impersonates an officer in Al-Houta security, brutally beat the female soldier, delivering powerful punches to her heart and chest areas in front of citizens, with the underlying reasons for this barbaric behavior remaining unknown.
Meanwhile, activists circulated a video clip of the female soldier weeping with heartbreaking anguish following the physical assault.
In a related context, the rights sources confirmed that immediately after the incident, the female soldier was subjected to blatant threats and pressure from officials in Lahj security, aiming to terrorize her and prevent her from filing any complaint with a human rights entity.
Urgent demands continue for the Saudi-backed authorities to immediately intervene and hold the accused perpetrator accountable.
