Three citizens killed in Zionist bombing on Lebanon
BEIRUT, May 09 (YPA) – Three individuals were killed after an Israeli airstrike targeted a vehicle on the Nahrain–Chouf Junction Road in southern Lebanon, marking a continuation of violations against the temporary ceasefire agreement.
Lebanon’s national media agency reported that the strike on the car at the Nahrain–Chouf junction resulted in the deaths of those inside the vehicle.
In related incidents, Israeli aircraft conducted multiple air raids on various locations in southern Lebanon.
The agency noted an airstrike on the town of Al-Saksakiya, causing casualties and injuries, though the exact numbers were not specified. Additional raids targeted areas near Al-Jabaneh in Haboush, the outskirts of Safad al-Battikh and Al-Jumeimah, and the town of Yater in the Bint Jbeil district.
Further attacks included a strike on a vehicle in the Jal Al-Bahr area near the entrance to Tyre and another on the town of Mansouri in Tyre district. Israeli aircraft also conducted two separate raids on vehicles along the coastal road between Beirut and the south, near the Saadiyat area, prompting ambulances to transport the injured.
Since early March, Israeli forces have intensified their offensive against Lebanon, striking towns, villages, cities, and civilian targets, resulting in thousands of deaths and injuries and displacing approximately 1.5 million Lebanese citizens.
Although a temporary ceasefire agreement took effect in mid-April, Israeli forces have continued to violate the terms on a daily basis.
