Gaza: Death toll rises to 72,619 since start of Israeli aggression

GAZA, May 06 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza Strip announced on Wednesday that the total death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,619 martyrs and 172,484 injured.

In its daily briefing, the Ministry reported that hospitals across the Strip received 4 martyrs and 16 wounded over the past 24 hours, noting that one of the deceased was recovered from under the rubble.

Regarding statistics recorded since the ceasefire took effect on October 11,2025, medical sources confirmed that the total number of martyrs has reached 837, with 2,381 injuries reported. Additionally, the bodies of 769 martyrs have been recovered from various areas across the Gaza Strip during this period.
