ASIR, May 03 (YPA) – A large-scale military uprising broke out in the ranks of three Saudi-backed brigades, in the Alab axis on the Asir border front with Saudi Arabia, followed by a large-scale arrest campaign that affected dozens of recruits who were thrown into the prisons of the “Military Police”.
This unrest was triggered by the continued embezzlement of financial entitlements that have been withheld by leadership for two consecutive years.
Hundreds of recruits from Brigades 63rd, 9th, and 5th, and groups from the First Brigade, all of which fall under the so-called “Second Emergency Division” led by Yasser Mujali, marched in angry demonstrations through the roads of the camps and military sites on the border front.
These developments unfold amidst deteriorating living conditions and what soldiers describe as “deliberate humiliation.” Given the ongoing policy of procrastination and the use of force by the Saudi committee and local leadership, observers expect the scope of these protests to expand in the coming days.
