TEHRAN, April 29 (YPA) – In strongly worded remarks directed at Washington, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a member of Iran’s parliamentary National Security Committee, stated on Wednesday that Tehran’s position over the Strait of Hormuz is “permanent and non-negotiable,” adding that Iran “will not leave U.S. President Donald Trump alone.”
In comments carried by Tasnim News Agency, Boroujerdi said the United States and Western countries have become increasingly aware of the “prestige and strength of Islamic Iran,” arguing that Tehran’s influence has grown significantly in strategic arenas, particularly in relation to the Strait of Hormuz.
Furthermore, he stressed that Iran enters negotiations from a position of strength rather than weakness, adding that dialogue is not, in his view, a space for concession or humiliation but rather a process guided by the directives of Iran’s Supreme Leader.
He also noted that parliamentary leadership is overseeing related diplomatic efforts within a broader political framework.
In addition, Boroujerdi criticized U.S. President Donald Trump, describing his threats as repetitive and ineffective, and claimed they have, in his view, undermined Washington while reinforcing Iran’s regional standing.
Meanwhile, referring to a recent period of de-escalation, he said the United States extended a ceasefire after two weeks without what he described as meaningful steps, before warning that Iran’s position toward the U.S. leadership would remain firm and uncompromising.
