Gaza: Death toll from Israeli genocide reaches 72,599, with 172,411 wounded

GAZA, April 29 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Wednesday that the death toll from the Israeli genocide war has risen to 72,599, with 172,411 wounded since October 7, 2023.

In its daily statistical report on the number of causalities resulting from the Israeli aggression on the Strip, the Gaza Health Ministry stated that Gaza hospitals received five martyrs, including one whose body was recovered, and seven wounded individuals in the past 24 hours.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health revealed that since the recent ceasefire on October 11, 2025, the total number of Palestinians killed by Israeli occupation forces’ fire has reached 823, with 2,308 injured and 763 bodies recovered.

The ministry also noted that a number of victims remain trapped under rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense teams have been unable to reach them.
