Zionist forces detain dozens of Palestinians during wide-ranging raids across West Bank

WEST BANK, April 29 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces detained several Palestinians on Wednesday, following a wide-ranging campaign of raids and incursions targeting multiple cities and towns across the occupied West Bank and East Quds (Jerusalem), amid a heavy military deployment and extensive house-to-house searches.

In the Hebron Governorate, occupation forces raided the village of Khursa, setting up a military checkpoint at its entrance where vehicles and mobile phones were searched.

Local sources reported the arrest of two individuals, whose identities remain unknown, while others were detained for field interrogation.

In the Shuwayka area of al-Dhahiriya, a man and his son were seriously injured after being assaulted by settlers using clubs and rifle butts, reportedly under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.

In the Tubas Governorate, two young men from the town of Aqqaba were detained after being summoned for questioning at the Salem military camp.

Meanwhile, in the Bethlehem Governorate, a woman was injured during an Israeli raid on areas in the southern countryside, where main roads were closed and residents’ movement restricted.

In occupied East Quds, occupation forces carried out a large-scale raid in Qalandia refugee camp, storming residential buildings, converting some into military posts, and conducting mass detentions for field interrogation.

According to the Palestinian Prisoners Club and official news agencies, nearly 140 Palestinians have been detained across the West Bank over the past 48 hours. Some have since been released following on-site interrogations, while dozens remain in custody.

The escalation comes amid heightened tensions in recent days, with near-daily military raids continuing to result in arrests and injuries across the territory.
