TEHRAN, April 27 (YPA) – Iran’s Human Rights Committee Secretary Nasser Seraj announced that 383 children were killed during the recent 40-day Israeli-US military aggression against Iran.
According to figures cited by the official, the victims included seven infants under the age of one, 255 children between one and 12 years old, and 121 minors aged between 12 and 18. In addition, 2,115 children were reported injured, including 70 under the age of two.
IRNA reported that Seraj strongly condemned what he described as war crimes committed by Israel and the United States against Iran.
He also criticized the inaction of international institutions and their failure to adopt an appropriate stance regarding alleged violations against Iranian children during the conflict.
Seraj called for a clear and firm condemnation of what he described as unlawful attacks and human rights abuses targeting Iranian children.
Furthermore, Seraj stated in his message that the Iranian people had once again witnessed one of the most severe violations of human rights and international humanitarian law in the region.
Seraj said that during what he described as the third imposed war, which lasted 40 days in March and April 2026, Israeli entity and the United States launched unlawful attacks directly targeting civilian sites inside Iranian territory.
He added that, according to documented local and international reports, the strikes hit residential areas, schools, scientific centers, universities, workplaces, production facilities, health and service centers, railway lines, bridges, roads, transportation hubs, border crossings, and aircraft carrying humanitarian medical aid, among other civilian locations.
