SAN FRANCISCO, April 19 (YPA) – Dozens of activists in San Francisco raised a giant 120-foot banner on Twin Peaks hills, reading “End US Aid to Israel,” in a protest move designed to be visible from across the city.
In an official statement, protesters condemned the continued US military funding of the Israeli occupation, holding it responsible for the deaths of more than 100,000 people in Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran.
The activists also called for a halt to arms shipments originating from the San Francisco Bay Area, urging support for a grassroots campaign in Oakland aimed at blocking military goods to “Israel” from passing through local ports in protest of what they described as “genocide” and the ongoing siege of the Gaza Strip.
