GAZA, April 19 (YPA) – Hamas Movement on Sunday stressed the need to compel Israel to fully implement the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip as a prerequisite for moving forward with negotiations on the second phase.
In a statement, the movement said its delegation held meetings with mediators and Palestinian factions in Cairo last week to push for the completion of all provisions outlined in the Sharm el-Sheikh Agreement.
The statement noted that it had engaged positively in the talks, despite accusing Israeli enemy of failing to meet most of its obligations and continuing daily violations.
It reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing coordination with mediators to reach an agreement that would end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, ensure the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces, and pave the way for reconstruction efforts.
