Gaza death toll rises to 72,551 as more victims remain trapped under rubble

GAZA, April 19 (YPA) – The death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip rose on Sunday to 72,551, with 172,274 others injured since October 7, 2023, according to the Gaza-based Health Ministry.

In its daily report, the ministry said hospitals received one newly killed victim and recovered another from under the rubble over the past 24 hours.

It added that since the ceasefire on October 11, a total of 775 people have been killed and 2,171 injured, while 761 bodies have been retrieved.

The ministry noted that many victims remain trapped under debris or stranded in areas inaccessible to ambulance and civil defense teams.
