WEST BANK, April 16 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces arrested 13 Palestinians, including former prisoners, during raids carried out at dawn on Thursday across several areas in the occupied West Bank and Quds (Jerusalem).
Palestinian sources said that Israeli forces arrested a young man after raiding his home in the city of Qalqilya.
They added that another man was arrested during an incursion into the town of Zabdeh, south of Jenin.
The sources also reported that Israeli forces raided several homes during an incursion into the village of Mirka, southwest of Jenin, and stormed the town of Kafr Ni’ma, west of Ramallah, where they searched homes and damaged their contents.
In Bethlehem, Israeli forces re-arrested a former prisoner from the Gold Market area in the Fawaghra neighborhood, and also detained a young man from his home in the Jabal al-Mawalih area during an early morning raid.
The sources added that a former prisoner was also re-arrested during an incursion into the town of Beit Duqqu, northwest of occupied Jerusalem.
The occupation forces also arrested two young men during a raid in the al-Hawoz area of Hebron in the southern West Bank, while others were briefly detained near al-Shafi’i School in the city.
The Prisoners’ Media Office said Israeli forces re-arrested several former prisoners during raids in Tulkarm and Qalqilya in the northern West Bank, adding that three more young men were detained in Tulkarm.
Early on Thursday, Israeli occupation forces closed the al-Tahrir roundabout area in Hebron while simultaneously storming the Isa area of the city.
These raids come amid a continued escalation across the occupied West Bank, where Israeli forces have intensified military operations, movement restrictions, and home invasions in recent weeks.
