Marib authorities Issue top secret order to arrest STC leaders in Hadramout

MARIB, April 06 (YPA) – Deputy of the Ministry of Interior, affiliated with the Marib-based Islah Party, issued an urgent circular on Monday to all ports and security checkpoints, ordering the arrest of three leaders of the Southern Transitional Council in Hadramout province, eastern Yemen.

The circular, marked “top secret” and numbered (257), directed police chiefs in provinces under the control of Saudi-backed forces to track down Ali Ahmed Al-Jafri, Salem Ahmed Bin Daghar, and Ali Faraj Al-Tambashi.

They are accused of inciting unrest and organizing protests that clashed with security forces in the city of Mukalla last Saturday.

It also called for intensified surveillance and investigation efforts to apprehend the individuals at all entry points and security posts, emphasizing strict compliance and warning against any negligence in carry out the orders.

The directive follows a sweeping arrest campaign by pro-Saudi forces in Mukalla, which targeted around 110 activists, including academics and educators, over their involvement in recent protests rejecting what they described as “Saudi guardianship.”
