Two Saudi nationals kidnapped in Hadramout desert, eastern Yemen

HADRAMOUT, April 06 (YPA) – Unidentified gunmen kidnapped two Saudi nationals last Sunday in the Hadramout Governorate desert area between “Al-Abr” and “Dwaybi”, local sources in Hadramout reported.

According to the sources, the abduction took place shortly after the individuals departed the Al-Wadeah border crossing, after which the gunmen intercepted them and led them to an unknown location. While the civilian or military status of the victims remains unconfirmed, reports indicate that the kidnappers are demanding a financial ransom for their release.

The incident is met with strict official silence from the local military leadership in the region, amid ongoing efforts to uncover the circumstances of the abduction and determine the victims’ whereabouts.
