SANAA, April 06 (YPA) – Hizām al-Asad, a member of the Ansarallah Political Bureau in Sanaa, issued a sharp warning to US President Donald Trump in response to demands for reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
In a post on the “X” platform, Al-Asad asserted that any military escalation to force open the Strait of Hormuz would result in the closure of other vital waterways (alluding to Bab al-Mandab).
He stated that Washington and Tel Aviv’s “dreams” of regime change in Iran or dismantling the “Axis of Resistance” have evaporated.
Al-Asad noted that American hegemony in the region has eroded, predicting that Washington will soon be forced to lift sanctions and pay reparations to Iran due to the collapse of the US-Zionist deterrence strategy.
He drew parallels between Trump’s current threats and his previous rhetoric against Yemen, emphasizing that the Yemeni armed forces—which pursued US carriers across the seas—remain committed to the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle until victory is achieved.
Thus, Sanaa is setting the equation of “unity of squares and straits” in the face of any potential American move against Tehran, declaring its full readiness for escalation in international shipping lanes.
