Iranian news agency reveals truth about US troop airdrop on Kharg Island

TEHRAN, April 03 (YPA) – Iran’s Tasnim News Agency denied on Friday reports circulating about a US troop landing on Kharg Island.

The Iranian agency quoted its correspondent as saying that the reports about a US troop landing on Kharg Island were false.

The agency stated: “Following the spread of rumors on social media about a US troop landing on Kharg Island, Tasnim News Agency’s correspondent reported that this news is false and that complete security is currently in place on the island.”

It emphasized that the Iranian armed forces are currently in full control of the situation on Kharg Island, and all areas of the island are under constant surveillance.

In a related development, a security official in Iran’s Ilam province denied any US troop landing operation had taken place within the province, confirming that the security situation is completely stable.
