Naim Qassem: ‘liberation of Lebanon south is matter of time’

BEIRUT, Oct. 06 (YPA) – Sheikh Naim Qassem, secretary-general of Hezbollah, affirmed that the liberation of southern Lebanon is now only a matter of time, stressing that the resistance and steadfastness will continue until the occupation is driven out.

Speaking at a ceremony marking the launch of the foundation for preserving and publishing the legacy of the late Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Qassem praised the resistance’s steadfastness in confronting the aggression. He stressed that Hezbollah would remain a resistance movement as long as the occupation persists, asserting that the real solution to the crisis begins with the enemy leaving in humiliation, along with its U.S. backer.

On Lebanon’s domestic affairs, Qassem expressed the party’s readiness to cooperate on internal issues on the basis of the Constitution and laws, without foreign dictates or interference, particularly from the United States.

Qassem also saluted the Iraqi people, their religious authority and leadership, and the Popular Mobilization Forces, commending their sacrifices and steadfastness.

He noted that wars are fought in rounds, but said the final round would belong to those who possess the land and the right.

The secretary-general of Hezbollah stressed that the Palestinian people, despite the scale of the sacrifices in Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem, will ultimately prevail and liberate their land.
