IRGC commander mocks US threats, issues warning to Israeli enemy

TEHRAN, April 02 (YPA) – The commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Air Force, Brig. Gen. Majid Mousavi, ridiculed recent statements by the US Secretary of War, who threatened to reduce Iran to the “Stone Age,” asking: “Have you prepared your tombstones?”

On Thursday, Brig. Gen. Mousavi wrote on X, addressing the US Secretary of War: “You are the ones leading your soldiers under the tombstones, not Iran, which you threaten.” He added that Hollywood illusions and the United States’ relatively short history of 250 years do not give it the right to threaten a civilization older than 6,000 years.

Mousavi attached a photo showing the destruction of the US Army Air Squadron Assembly Center at the Al-Kharj base in Saudi Arabia.

On Wednesday, he also sent a direct warning to Israel via X in Arabic, stating succinctly: “Soon… prepare your shelters.”

In related developments, the Iranian Tasnim news agency reported that Brig. Gen. Mousavi conducted a field inspection of IRGC troops stationed at rocket launch sites in recent hours.

Regarding US losses, the British newspaper The Times reported that the IRGC inflicted significant damage on 13 American bases in the region, five weeks after the start of military operations.

The newspaper estimated the cost of destruction at approximately $1.5 billion in the first month, with over 300 American soldiers wounded, including 13 fatalities—six of whom died when a KC-135 refueling aircraft was shot down in western Iraq.

The New York Times also confirmed that Iranian attacks caused substantial damage to US bases, affecting reconnaissance, supply, and command facilities.

Concerning troop casualties, the American website The Intercept noted that the US Central Command has provided outdated and low figures and has not issued clear statistics on the number of dead or injured since the beginning of the conflict, while independent estimates suggest at least 15 American soldiers have been killed.
