Hebrew media: Iranian missiles strike deep inside “Israel”

OCCUPIED QUDS, March 17 (YPA) – Hebrew media outlets reported on Tuesday that rocket barrages were launched from Iran targeting the “Greater Tel Aviv” area and central “Israel.”

The attack triggered sirens in several cities, including Ashdod, resulting in multiple casualties and significant material damage.

According to field reports, heavy explosions were heard in the Jaffa and Tel Aviv areas due to falling missile fragments. Projectiles were also recorded hitting the “Rishon LeZion” settlement and the vicinity of Ben Gurion Airport in the Lod area.

The Israeli Ministry of Health announced that 142 injured individuals were transported to hospitals over the past 24 hours due to the shelling. A building in the “Shoham” area sustained a direct hit, with impacts identified across approximately 10 different locations. Areas surrounding Ben Gurion Airport were affected by falling submunitions and debris.

This bombardment comes amid a wave of mutual escalation in the region. Iran continues to target Israeli sites and regional US bases in response to recent military operations, as international observers warn of the conflict spiraling into a broader regional confrontation.
