Mass rallies across Yemen marking International Quds Day

SANAA, March 13 (YPA) -Millions of Yemenis held mass rallies across the country on International Quds Day, observed on the last Friday of Ramadan, highlighting the strong resonance of the Palestinian cause within Yemeni society

Participants affirmed that Palestine and Quds remain the central cause of the Islamic nation, and that supporting the Palestinian people constitutes a religious and humanitarian duty from which there can be no retreat.

The participation of the elderly reflects the depth of historical and emotional connection to the Palestinian cause, as the older generation transmits values of steadfastness and adherence to right to subsequent generations, affirming that defending Jerusalem is an ongoing duty that does not lapse with time.

The participants raised flags of freedom and the Yemeni and Palestinian flags, as well as banners rejecting and condemning the massacres and genocidal war against the Palestinian people in Gaza.

A statement was issued during the rallies, affirmed  the pivotal role of the Yemeni people in supporting Palestine and resistance, noting that their participation in this day represents part of a jihadist movement seeking God’s pleasure and closeness to Him, embodying the rejection of abandoning Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The statement emphasized Yemen’s complete solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran, appreciating the devastating strikes it has carried out against enemies, and the cooperation of the Axis of Resistance that has returned the occupation to square zero with determination and steadfastness.

The statement also acknowledged the heroes of the resistance in Iraq and their continued role in confronting American occupation forces, affirming that national unity and solidarity with resistance are the optimal way to confront the Zionist project.

The statement called on the peoples of the nation to actively participate in commemorating Al-Quds Day and to strengthen popular presence in the squares as a striking force in the face of aggression and its proxies.
