Israeli airstrikes kill 11 civilians in Lebanon

BEIRUT, March 04 (YPA) – At least 11 civilians were killed and 23 others were injured at dawn Wednesday following Israeli airstrikes on southern and eastern Lebanon, according to the latest local media reports.

Earlier, Lebanese state media said an Israeli strike on a four-story apartment building in the eastern town of Baalbek killed at least four people and wounded six others.

In the villages of Aramoun and Saadiyat south of Beirut, the health ministry said Israeli strikes killed six people and wounded eight others, warning that this was a preliminary toll.

Another Israeli strike also hit a hotel in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

The cumulative death toll across Lebanon has risen dramatically, with health officials reporting that from Monday through Wednesday dawn, Israeli attacks have killed 60 people and wounded 349 others. The figures represent one of the deadliest periods in the current escalation.
