IRGC vows devastating retaliation for killing Khamenei, IRGC military commanders

TEHRAN, March 01 (YPA) -Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) vowed on Sunday to retaliate for the killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and IRGC commander Mohammad Pakpour.

The IRGC stated: “Our forces will take revenge on Iran’s enemies and teach them a lesson. We will defend the country’s security, interests, and territorial unity with full strength.”

Iran’s Defense Ministry also warned that it will take the strongest revenge against those responsible for the assassination of the Supreme Leader.

Iranian state media reported that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, IRGC commander Mohammad Pakpour, and Defense Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasir were killed at Khamenei’s residence during a sudden attack early Saturday morning.

Meanwhile, Fars News Agency confirmed that Khamenei’s daughter, son-in-law, and grandson were also killed during the strike, which was described as an Israeli attack.
