GAZA, Feb. 18 (YPA) – Three citizens were martyred, on Wednesday, by Israeli occupation forces fire in Khan Younis, as the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip continues to be violated, through air, land, and sea attacks on various areas of the Strip, coinciding with the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.
Nasser Medical Complex announced the martyrdom of a citizen by the fire of the occupation army within its deployment areas east of Khan Younis city.
Previously, the complex announced the martyrdom of two Palestinian citizens by the fire of the occupation army near its military deployment areas in the town of Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza Strip.
A local source reported the martyrdom of the young man, Muhannad Jamal Muhammad al-Najjar (20 years old), by the occupation fire near Bani Suheila roundabout.
In addition, the occupation artillery targeted the eastern neighborhoods of Gaza City, coinciding with new demolition operations of residential buildings in the town of Beit Hanoun in the northern Strip.
In the southern Strip, a series of Israeli raids targeted areas in the cities of Khan Younis and Rafah, amid low-flying warplanes, while artillery shelled areas east of Khan Younis and press sources reported that occupation tanks fired heavy bullets towards the eastern areas of the city.
The Gaza Strip welcomes the first day of Ramadan amidst continued daily violations since the ceasefire agreement came into effect, while thousands of families continue to suffer from a severe shortage of food and basic necessities, at a time when the United Nations had declared a famine in some areas.
The occupation forces, through their repeated violations, have killed 634 Palestinians, including 195 children and 84 women, and wounded 1,630 others since the ceasefire agreement came into effect.
