US reconnaissance aircraft conduct flights near Iran border

MANAMA, Feb. 13 (YPA) – An American reconnaissance aircraft, the Boeing P-8A Poseidon, conducted its second flight in recent days, departing from Bahrain and flying over the Strait of Hormuz at the same time another U.S. aircraft took off from the UAE and operated over the Gulf of Oman.

According to flight data cited by Novosti on Wednesday, a U.S. Navy anti-submarine reconnaissance aircraft, the Boeing P-8A Poseidon, and a Northrop Grumman MQ-4C Triton reconnaissance drone were observed near the Iranian border.

Flight tracking showed that the Poseidon departed from Bahrain and continued its mission over the Strait of Hormuz, while the drone launched from Abu Dhabi in the UAE and flew over the Gulf of Oman.
