Massive demonstration held in Sweden to condemn Israeli violations in Gaza

STOCKHOLM, Feb. 08 (YPA) – The Swedish capital, Stockholm, witnessed a demonstration, on Saturday, in support of Palestine and in condemnation of the Zionist violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

Hundreds of supporters of the Palestinian cause gathered in Oddenplan Square in central Stockholm, at the invitation of civil society organizations, expressing their anger at the attacks by the Israeli occupation army on Gaza in violation of the ceasefire that came into effect in October 2025.

In addition, the demonstrators condemned the restrictions and obstacles placed by the occupation forces on the entry of humanitarian aid to Palestinians in need in Gaza.

Later, the demonstrators marched to the Swedish Parliament building, carrying banners with slogans demanding an end to the genocide in the Gaza Strip.

It should be noted that the occupation army, with American and European support, has committed genocide, siege, and starvation in the Gaza Strip for more than two consecutive years since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 72,027 Palestinian civilians, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 171,651 others to date, in a preliminary count, as thousands of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue teams.
